Shanon Hoover is a seasoned technologist, maker advocate, and co-founder of MakeFashion, where he served as Chief Technologist, shaping initiatives that bring cutting-edge tech into creative practice. Growing up building things by hand on a farm in northern Alberta instilled in him a lifelong passion for making, which he has extended into work with makerspaces, workshops, community events, and technology-driven art shows. Shanon is also active in the broader maker ecosystem through projects such as Fuse33 and NLiten, where he supports innovation, hands-on learning, and grassroots tech communities. His experience spans IT, fabrication technologies, and community engagement, making him a collaborative force on SteamHead’s board.
